Professional Experience

Data Analytics Engineer

Chinese Information and Service Center

Jan. 2026 – Present
  • Clarified product scope and technical direction for the legal clinic portal by conducting 6+ interviews with CISC staff, identifying key operational pain points, and translating stakeholder needs into viable solution requirements.
  • Improved administrative control for CISC's pro bono legal clinic portal by building an admin dashboard with user management, role assignment, granular Firebase Security Rules, and Cloud Functions for secure account modification and deletion.
  • Developed an offline-trained legal resource recommender for staff and attorneys by scraping documents from 5+ legal domains, mapping resources across ~90 legal categories, and improving semantic matching with BGE-large embeddings after BM25 relevance evaluation.

Data Scientist (DubsTech 7th Datathon)

University of Washington

Feb. 2026
  • Addressed 4 accessibility-focused data science prompts within a 24-hour competition window by building data visualizations and clustering high-risk web pages in Jupyter.
  • Translated findings into digestible, non-technical materials by commenting on code, building a PowerPoint presentation, and recording a 3-minute voiceover.
  • Scored 24/25 from competition judges by presenting 17 engineered features, a severity-weighted risk formula, and actionable prioritization frameworks.

Undergraduate Security Analyst

University of Washington

Sept. 2025 – Dec. 2025
  • Patched 5 major vulnerabilities in a containerized password manager application using vulnerability management software and offensive security tools.
  • Fostered a transparent, proactive security culture by cross-validating remediations with 2 undergraduate security teams and publishing instructions for setting up a containerized environment.
  • Strengthened vulnerability management practices by documenting exploit reproduction steps, remediation decisions, and verification procedures for a containerized password manager environment.

"

Beyond the code, I enjoy doing the simplest things in life with my family and friends.

When I'm not glued to my screen, you can find me raising 10 times the big blind preflop in Poker, finding fresh powder and untouched lines in the mountains, or catching squids under the moonlight in Seacrest Park.

Life is a series of experiments, and I'm just here collecting the data.

Cherish the gift of life by living in the present.
